What's Happening?

Bradford is undergoing an exciting transformation. An ambitious regeneration programme is unlocking the District’s potential from its core. New iconic developments are planned to complement historic buildings which are being carefully restored, merging the city’s rich architectural past with its vibrant future.

Already the Little Germany area of the city centre, where 55 out of the 85 buildings are listed, has become an established residential quarter. The area is fronted by Eastbrook Hall, a stunning historic landmark which has been restored and developed into apartments and commercial units, and was officially opened by HRH The Prince of Wales in November 2008.

A range of major new schemes are planned for the city, including the £340m Westfield Bradford shopping centre (click here to view a film of what the centre will look like), and the £750m Learning Quarter, where work is progressing well. Combined with schemes across the District, Bradford is being transformed into a desirable place to live, work, learn and be entertained.
